Tell us who you are and how you spend your time?
Hi! I’m McElle Zuro, in 2020 I launched Orderly- a home organization business. Alongside my team of incredibly talented and hard-working women we help our clients get organized in northern Utah. Outside of running a small business, I am a wife, and new mom to my five-month-old daughter Millie. When I’m not working or taking care of my family, I’m probably organizing something for fun, baking, or chatting with a friend. I absolutely love taking care of a home. I always have. So much so that I turned it into a business! Alongside my team we create lasting, simple, effective organizational systems to make our clients lives easier.
How would you describe your interior style?
If you asked an interior designer, I’m sure they would have an elaborate term for their interior style…. I’m not sure I do. I love classic, southern, traditional pieces. I want my home to feel light, bright and inviting. But I also really value simplicity. So don’t expect to find a perfectly styled countertop in my kitchen or bathrooms- I prefer them to be completely clear of all non-essential items. I guess when you declutter for a living you tend to want less and less in your own space.
How does fragrance play a role in your personal space? Are there any signature scents that you love to have in your home?
I’m guessing it won’t come as a shock that I love clean scents. If my house smelled like cleaning products and clean laundry all the time, I would be oh so happy! I firmly believe a simple, clean home creates a calm environment that minimizes stress and anxiety and maximizes efficiency.
What are your go-to fragrance types for creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere?
I have an exception to my clean scent rule- and that is when a holiday rolls around. In the spring I want my home to smell floral, and at Christmas time I love a good pine scent to make my space feel cozy and inviting.
If you could step inside anyone’s home to experience their signature scent, whose home would it be and why? How do you imagine their space smells?
Oh, I would love to visit Clea Shearers home. She is one of the founders of the Home Edit which is probably the most well-known professional organizing companies. I would imagine her home smells clean or maybe a little like the really fancy section of the department stores where they sell expensive perfume.

We’re always working on fun things over at Orderly! Thanks to my incredible team of women who make it all happen!
