Style Spotlight: Yvette From @making_magnolia_home
Tell us who you are and how you spend your time?
Hi, I’m Yvette, I’m 62, married have 3 sons and 4 grandkids, I run my own web design and brand design company, I have clients all over the world. I love my home it is my hobby very much my home and garden.
How would you describe your interior style?
Having lived in the USA and Canada I tend to prefer Hampton style homes, we live in an open plan home that was designed to look and feel North American.
How do you incorporate fragrance when you style your space? Do you find that certain scents complement specific spaces or aesthetics?
I think some fragrances do suit certain room settings, however I have to be really careful with smell because I am sensitive to strong smells.
How does fragrance play a role in your personal space? Are there any signature scents that you love to have in your home?
I love the ScentAir White Tea and Thyme, I do love it when you walk in and room and it’s filled with beautiful fragrance.
What are your go-to fragrance types for creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere?
I love ScentAir’s travel candles they fill a space really well I love the cosy vibe that candles give.
If you could step inside anyone’s home to experience their signature scent, whose home would it be and why? How do you imagine their space smells?
Oh gosh this is a hard one, I’ve met so many lovely people because of Instagram, but I think the ultimate home for me would be Shea McGees home and I could image it smelling of White Tea.
Do you have any projects you’re working on right now that you’re excited about? Where can we find you online?
So I’m currently working on my dining room, we’ve sold our old furniture and buying new from Neptune Canterbury, there are a few quality pieces that I had that I decided to upcycle and if you follow me you’ll see some of the pieces I’m doing - it’s diving me mad as I am also a carer for my husband so there is only me who can do it all.
